Come and enjoy your best holiday ever with us at STONE COTTAGE Backpackers & Lodge. We are situated on the hill above Centralbeach, with a spectacular sea view and less than 5min walk to beach, town and main attractions.

2 WEEK SPLIT : students must choose either

30th Nov – 7th Dec

At Stone Cottage we offer adult supervision at all times to make sure all the visiting students are safe.

Stone Cottage will also have an identiband for each student. The identiband will be checked at all times. No-one without the identiband will be allowed on the premises for security, privacy & safety’s sake.

We will thus ask for every student’s information: ID number, next of kin contact details, doctors number, blood type, allergies, etc.

As it is against the law, private liquor will not be allowed on the premises. This has to be obeyed as we have repeatedly found stashed liquor which leads to unlawful behaviour, noise, arguments and thus complaints from neighbours and sometimes an unwelcome visit from the police.

Stone Cottage has a magical atmosphere, even when sober!

There will be cool music, a fire & lanterns lit in the evenings, and in the day, our beautiful sundeck with jacuzzi is the most relaxing place to be.

Stone Cottage does offer catering for students when booked in advance.
Breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, pasta & vegetarian meals & burgers can be ordered as per schedule available. The will also be a braai evening on the 2nd last evening of your stay. You will be allowed to bring a friend to this event.
The prices are for breakfast R35 pp, for dinner R60 pp, for the braai R70 pp. Other prices on request. Please remember : we only cook meals booked & paid for in advance/ the day before OR you can book your meals in advance in FULL when paying for your accommodation. This will save you 10% on food.

As you know Plettenberg Bay is known for its spectacular natural beauty. Even though this is visible and accessible by foot from Stone Cottage, there are many activities that can be booked too.
Sea kayaking, horse riding, guided hiking on Robberg Peninsula, Whale & Dolphin watching, Skydive from 10 000ft, the Highest Bungy jump, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, mountain biking in our indigenous forest, paintball, game drives, elephant rides etc are all available and we could book it for you with pleasure.

However, just relaxing here, walking to the most beautiful beaches, enjoying the daily festivities, the little shops & events in town, as well as the exciting nightlife after sunset is a recipe for a magical holiday.
Stone Cottage splits Plett Rage in two weeks to give students the best possible option as exam & personal schedules vary greatly every year.

Arrive after 3pm on the 30th Nov - Departing 7th Dec 9am (7nights), you can extend this week until 9thDec 9am!
choose either, but at least one full week must be booked per group.
